As a Vancouver Wedding Planner, it is my sincere honour and privilege to work with countless talented professionals from all avenues in the wedding planning process.
From finding the perfect venue, to selecting new best friends in their photographers, videographers, hair and makeup artists, stationery designers, DJ’s, musicians, cake artists and everything in between, I am fortunate to walk beside my clients guiding them from step A-Z in finding, securing and orchestrating their chosen collaborators [I truly dislike the word “vendor” and am trying to use professional and/or collaborators in it’s place!]
From my end, what this truly represents is an opportunity to see and experience professionals at their best and their worst…
What are their personalities like?
Are they professional both in person, by email and on the phone?
Does their website properly represent their full portfolio?
Do their fees properly represent their service and experience?
Are their contracts and booking process thorough and professional?
Are they timely in getting back to you?
How to they function under stress, deal with last minute changes and adjust to meet the needs of my clients?
Do they meet and/or exceed both my clients and my own expectations, the entire process of working together?
Do they appear to do this for the love of it or the money of it?
Do they do what they say they’ll do, as they say they will and when they say it? ie: Level of delivery
Do they work with myself and other professionals “as a team” to accomplish the collective goal in making our clients radiant and as happy as possible?
Many times I share with my clients that their day is not about me. I’m not the type of planner that needs to be seen, heard or take a power trip around the professionals I’m managing throughout the process and on wedding day. My job is to be what everyone needs, the liason and peace maker between everyone, all the while ensuring the show runs as planned while guests, family and my clients savour every sensation of their big day.
In a nut shell my ultimate goal is make what matters most to my clients happen, in style, on time and appearing effortless!
One client put it this way and to this day, it’s some of my most treasured feedback….
“I knew you were everywhere but I saw you no where, yet, I trusted you completely. That’s hard for a perfectionist to do!”
So after a busy season behind me, I took time to reflect on the amazing professionals I had the pleasure of working with- those who deserve a standing ovation for their all around amazingness. These individuals and companies have my utmost appreciation for their work and professionalism, and my highest regard in recommendation.
Please note: The Vancouver Wedding Professionals listed and included above are noted and regarded solely from experience with them through my 2013 wedding planning season. By no means is this an exclusive list of the professionals I have worked with, highly recommend or love to work with. There are countless others also! I do not receive kick backs or financial gain from any professionals by way of referrals or reccomendation, rather aiming to pair my clients with the collaborators that best meet their needs, budget and personality preferences.
