As an entrepreneur, let me ask you this..
What Legacy do you want to leave?
When you die, how do you want to be remembered?
For your art or your craft? For your accomplishments and accolades? For the way you lit up a room when you entered it? For words of encouragement you spoke over others? For how you poured yourself into your family and your friends?
Think about it; what matters most to you, when all is said and done?
What will you be proud of and what will you regret when you’re holding tight the ones you love in one final moment of embrace?
For me it boils down to this…
To have lived fearlessly, loved selflessly, served passionately and celebrated in gratitude.
This is the legacy I want to leave in everything I do, with everyone I meet and in anything I touch.
I know we all say it, but do you truly believe it?
What you do matters, truly matters and it’s an answer to someone’s problem.
I never want to hear you say this…
You were blessed with the abilities that you have by a God who has purpose for both you and your gifts….
We can choose to see our work and talents for what they are, gifts meant to be given away or a means for self glorification.
We are blessed to be a blessing.
So, if everything you do has meaning, if all you aspire to can be intentional and anything accomplished can have purpose, then what would that look like for you?
In the grand and the small, the mundaine and the exciting, the personal and the professional….
What would your legacy boil down to?
Because these are the seeds of legacy, my friend. Plant these and you will reap a harvest of rewards more edifying than your little heart could fathom!
Before you run off and get busy, take 2 minutes and take action today. Scribble a few words or fill a notebook and pour your heart out on a page.
Because what you do and who you are matters more than you know!
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working unto the Lord.” ~ Col. 3:23
