A Little Lady’s Kirkland House Wedding
Photographer: Dragonflight Photography Videographer: Life Studios
I’m a sucker for tradition, childhood memories and small town living…
This project’s inspiration came from a local heritage manor located in my country home town of Ladner BC. The towns gem, the Kirkland House, had recently been restored to its original 1920′s roots and a team of dedicated volunteers and local supporters shared their labour of love with me. They proudly highlighted the authentic beauty they meticulously restored, stories of the homes original owners and the simple yet celebrated life they lived.
The goal was to inspire modern vintage bridal looks that incorporate different eras of old work luxe and bold feminine statements. It explores the fictional dream of one of the home owners’ daughters savouring the morning before she weds, in her childhood home. Many thanks to Glamour and Grace Wedding Blog for featuring this personal project.
