Holiday Hostess Gift: “Blessings Mix”

With Thanksgivings arrival this weekend, I’ve been reflecting a lot on “Blessings.”

blessing [ˈblɛsɪŋ]

  •  the act of invoking divine protection or aid
  •  good wishes
  • the bestowal of a divine gift or favor
  •  happy event or state of affairs

If I look honestly at my life, I can say that not a single day goes by without a blessing…or two. Our lives are so rich and full and we have so much to be thankful for. I pray, that as the season of Thanksgiving roles around, (this weekend for us Canadians) we’ll take the time to cherish, remember and be grateful for all we have.

“I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the believers, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep, is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge; that you may be filled to the measure, of all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:17-18

 
With three Thanksgiving dinners to prep for, I’m reminded of how truly lucky I am. Not only do I have family to share in this beautiful holiday, but friends, who have become my other family; so much so, that we have our own “family gatherings,” weekly and on holidays!
