Many of you frequent my personal blog, “Seeking Grace,” the ramblings of an entrepreneur seeking grace rather than perfection. But after many requests and countless heart checks, I’ve decided to bring some personal reflections to the KME blog. Why? Because I too, am a real person with a real life; one with dreams, feelings, joys, let downs, frustrations and a deep desire to help others know their not alone. I want to remind myself and others, while I’m at it, of the heart of the matter….What’s important in this life, when all is said and done.
Fall has been a month of miracles, blessings and deep reflection, leaving me humbled; some what speechless. Life is precious. Do you know that? Do you feel it?
In the tiny moments when you realize your mind is still, savouring every sensation of the present; catching your sweety’s stare from across the room or hearing a baby’s giggle; the smell of autumn on the rise and midnight rain upon the grass; planning sunday dinner with anticipation of family time, simple and sweet. Then there’s nature, so majestic; The birds. The views. The wonder; the feeling of being small. I savour these moments, when everything else just washes away and i’m left content; warm hearted and humbled by God’s greatness.
While the life He’s planned for me has many wild adventures and great things I hope to accomplish, He is faithful in his promises, big and small.
“Listen carefully to Me and delight yourself in abundance.” Isaiah 55:2
Life is a blessing; a lesson in trust and honour. And while I set my eyes on His plans, too often I try to take the lead. And in doing so, I become anxious, stressed and worried; impatient and frustrated. And in those moments I loose sight of His promises and trust too much in my own strength and my abilities.
Time and time again He reminds me: Plant a seed and watch it grow. But it by His nurturing it shall flourish. His will and His guidance is the artful master plan, that brings joy beyond comprehension. He provides. He always does. His ways are so much better than mine.
“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him; though he may stumble, he will not fall. For the Lord upholds him with His hand.” Psalm 37
I am grateful to be on this journey, with the greatest pilot of all time. To be living this incredible life; one filled with so much passion in seeking my dreams, I could simply burst from seam to seam; to work with you and so many incredible couples, who values mirror God’s beauty.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Oh yes, life is such a gift. Precious in every simple moment.
What moments lately have left you feeling blessed?!
