Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before! “Maybe Christmas,” he thought, “doesn’t come from a store. “Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more!”
I spent a lot of time deciding what I wanted to give my clients this Christmas, as a token of my gratitude and delight in working with them. It fuels my passion to be a part of such a beautiful and exciting time in couples’ lives; a journey of immense joy, true love, contentment in each others arms and anticipation for what lies ahead!
In reflection, I was overcome by how privileged we are and the incredible experiences and luxuries we have right at our finger tips. And in the grand scheme of things, what really is another box of chocolates? Heck, even a good bottle of wine, when you know that that money could impact and change someones life!
I have learnt first hand, the genuine honor it is to give back and help those who may not have the resources I do or means to help themselves.
This Christmas, I wanted to share my joy with others; to encourage people to take action and give back in ways that make a difference. We are a part of one family and kindness, even in small doses, can move mountains; making waves that impact the lives of individuals, communities and even nations.
So with that in mind, I decided on gift cards for World Vision; a donation of the money I would have spent, in their name, for individuals or gifts of their choosing. World Vision has many options for safety, agriculture and education in third world countries, to shelter, food and sponsoring of local woman and children. For each of us, there’s a gift that speaks to our giving nature.
Whether it’s in our own backyard or half way across the world, these gifts tell someone they matter and that we care!
It’s an honor and a privilege to work with the lovely folks that I do; people I can call friends! And it’s my prayer, that through these gifts, the recipients will feel the same!
Wishing you all abundant blessings and treasured moment this season,
Merry Christmas, friends!
