Another one of the gorgeous nuptials I did last year, this Rustic Elegant Camp Wedding was the one that had me giddy from my head down to my knees…
If you’re been around me for more than 2.5 mins, you’ll discover quickly how head over heels I am for my little inlet town of Port Moody. Living here is one of my greatest joys and I count myself blessed to have made this “Stars Hallow” esk village our home. [Yes. I grew up watching Gilmore Girls with my mother and secretly longed to make that town my home!]
When I met Stephanie + Paul, suggesting we meet at my favourite local cafe and they quickly exclaimed it was their “sunday” morning ritual, I nearly leapt in delight.
Over the rumble of our quaint neighbourhood friends, they shared their love for all my own favourite local little coves and nature spots and how they desired more than anything to get married in our city.
… a beautiful couple, absolutely gaga for each other, plus the backdrop of my hearts true love home- port moody; I seriously felt like the luckiest girl in the world!
To boot, these two lovebirds lived only a few doors down and we’d run into each other on summer runs and afternoons strolls with our sweeties.
Months after their wedding, Stephanie and I would even come to run together in a local running group!
When it came to tying the knot, Stephanie and Paul wanted to celebrate in a way that felt comfortable, yet elegant and packed the punch of the killer views our city is known for.
The day would resemble a rustic camp environment, held at Twilight movie’s own, Camp Howdy, with log cabin and tent accommodations for guests, as well as a bonfire and s’mores station late night.
We’d up the fete anti, with romantic twinkle lights, luscious floral installations in the reception hall, as well as for the ceremony, and adorn their bridal party is frocks and suits with class!
A huge shout out to Images by Bethany, who seriously knocked the ball out of the park capturing their day! Are these photos not some of the most beautiful and emotive you’ve feasted your eyes on?
And in case you ever questioned our commitment to making our clients dreams come true, we even portaged a canoe down the side of a mountain so the two could take photos rowing in the ocean!
A special thanks to the fabulous talents that helped bring their day to life:
