With most things in life, we (unfortunately) compare. And the same can be true, when it comes to planning your wedding.
You spend hours flipping pages, browsing blogs, pinning inspiration and oogling others beautiful day.
But the operative word in that, is others: theirs, not yours.
While I would never condone looking, (quite the contrary) too often I see brides aspire to have “exactly that!”
- Is it “you”?
- Is it a genuine representation of your taste, your heart and your lifestyle?
- Does it tell your love story beautifully?
If not, loose it.
Don’t simply do something, just because it looks good, or you want to keep up with the Jones’. Because really, the Jones will be gone tomorrow, but your story is here to stay!
Your wedding is an opportunity to set your love story on fire. It should “scream” you, through and through and your guests should feel at home in the surroundings.
Strive to hear the magic words: “It’s SO them!” … pure music to my ears.
So, as you perfectly curate the wedding of a lifetime, don’t forget to ask yourself: “is this truly me or someone else’s dream?”
