The 1920’s wedding of KME couple, Alicia and Kjartan, is one of copious memories, laughter and joy. From the very first hello, to our vary last goodbye and every detail inbetween, this gorgeous wedding epitomied everything a DIY vintage wedding represents: heart, passion, love, detail, craft and blessed teamwork!
It was my great honour to join this lovely couple in their journey to the aisle and a privilege to bring their vision to life; theirs is truly one love story I’ll never forget….
“I just have to start by saying that Kailey-Michelle was the saving grace of our wedding day. Just two months before our wedding, and days after moving home from London, England thinking we just had some crafts to make and loose ends to tie up, our wedding venue in Victoria fell through and we had to cancel everything! With two months to spare and a whole years worth of planning to start from scratch, we were devastated!
We had never planned on using a wedding planner. But we met Kailey for high tea and as soon as I saw her smiling face and she said hello, I knew she was going to be amazing and would make our wedding day happen as I dreamed of. It was wedding planner love at first sight! Quickly I knew she just got me, and understood the vision of our wedding exactly how we hoped for.
I dreamt of a 1920’s garden affair. I was so overwhelmed with joy I was literally in tears and all I could say to my dad next to me walking down the aisle, was WOW look at all this! She literally must have listened to every single word that I said to make it that perfect because there wasn’t a thing I would have changed. I could go on forever on all the tiny aspects of the day that she made outstanding. I honestly don’t know how she multitasked so well. She had so much to deal with but remained calm and with a smiling face the whole day.
I will highly recommend Kailey-Michelle to any creative bride who wants someone to make their vision come to life, brides who love vintage and DIY and need help with creating beautiful, creative and unique ideas or someone who even just wants some help with organization and planning because she is incredibly organized, detail-oriented! She’s a ten and a half out of ten that’s for sure!
So, thank you Mrs. Kailey-Michelle for being an unbelievable woman. You are so incredibly talented, and not only that, you are incredibly inspiring. Thank-you for making the impossible, possible, for somehow calming me down, and for making our wedding day even more beautiful than we hoped for. I am forever thankful that we found you and hope to keep you in my life as a friend after meeting you and spending time creating such a wonderful day with you! Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you!” -Alicia-Rae Olafsso
